When I was a kid, I’d play for hours on the old Remington typewriter sitting on the sewing chest in our guest bedroom. I loved the sound the keys made hitting the page as I would try, unsuccessfully, to type a sentence – or even my name, without making an error. The typewriter belonged to my great grandmother, who was an elementary school teacher. To this day, the site of an old typewriter takes me back to a sweet childhood and daydreams of days gone by.
